February 22, 2010

Ok, I have decided that I really need to get out more and walk and the Dr. wants me to walk up and down stairs.  So about three blocks from the house  is a set of stairs that I can hike up and down on.  So over I walked and I went down and up three times.  It wasn't too bad.  I even got to practice alternating legs as I went down.  I have had a phobic fear of going down stairs alternating feet because I have fallen down my daughter's stairs a few months after my surgery.  So Stairs have intimidated me.  I decided it was time to get over that and practice up and down.

Down, Up, Down Up, and Down and Up.  Actually it took more work to go up then to go down.  LOL.

  1. I have that same fear, but I've never fallen down steps, just precautious I guess... What helps me is counting. So I count the steps as I go down and I have no idea how it helps, but it does.
