August 7, 2009

I know lots of people do blogs and I have read a few peoples and thought I can't do that. Well maybe I can do that. Although I wonder who on earth would read it besides me. So I guess I can tell what I did today. I got up early and went on line like I always do. I checked out my email and then went to my digital scrapping sites. WooHooooo. I won the top prize from OScraps.com for posting the most pages for Merkee's contest. Now I get to go spend $100 on Merkee's designs. But wait before I can do that, I have to go see my grandkids, Jacqueline and Ozzie. Mommy, me and the kids went over to the swimming pool by Trader Joes. It's free and was really nice. We left and had a picnic in the park. When we got home we tried to put Ozzie to sleep and it didn't work, so we went off to Target to buy Alice (Jay's friend) a birthday gift. Jay had a complete meltdown because she also felt that she deserved to buy a gift for herself and couldn't understand that it wasn't her birthday. So all the way home she screamed, "Stop the Car" "Stop the Car". I was laughing so hard tears were coming from my eyes. I know it isn't nice to laugh at a little one having a fit but it was funny and she couldn't see me laughing because I was in the front seat. When we got to their house, I took her for a walk to calm her down. She kept saying "Why do grownups tell me to wait until my birthday, I don't want to wait." SIGH it is so hard being 4. Then we saw a dead baby bird with no feathers. That really intrigued Jay (our little scientist). She asked me a million why questions. I finally said I think the wind blew it out of it's nest. Then when we got back to her house I told her that maybe she could earn the money to buy what she wanted. So I let her unload my car. I had borrowed three of their outdoor chairs. So she took all three in three trips to her back yard. I paid her ten dimes. She put it in her piggy bank. Then I came home to my own little abode.
